About Octavio Marquez

My career began in 1992 at Rennie and Associates, where I learned the bedrock of this business: the pursuit to listen and truly understand what is important to the client. I eventually channeled that philosophy into a 17-year career as a tech entrepreneur, founding a digital agency that Google recognized in the top 1% in North America.

I returned to real estate because I realized the industry has become too transactional. Most people are met with sales pitches when they actually need a Strategic Advisor. Having sold my own home of 21 years to move to Port Moody, I was reminded that you deserve more than a "regular agent"—you deserve a partner who manages your equity like a high-value asset.

The "Triple Threat" Advantage:

1) I bring a level of negotiating sophistication to the table that is rare in this industry. Executive-Level Negotiation: I spent over 15 years closing complex deals with large-scale organizations. I advocate for you with the grit of a seasoned business owner.

2) Medallion Club: As a member of the Medallion Club, I rank in the top 10% of all Greater Vancouver Realtors based on transaction volume. This isn't just an award; it’s proof that my strategies work in today’s competitive market.

3)Top 1% Digital Firepower: I don't just "post" homes; I engineer sales using the same marketing precision I used for North America’s top brands.

The Zero-Pressure Promise.

The biggest difference you’ll feel working with me is a total lack of pressure. Because of my previous and current business successes, my finances are in order, and my pipeline is full. I am not chasing a commission check to pay my mortgage. This independence allows me to be 100% honest—I will tell you to walk away from a bad deal just as quickly as I’ll tell you to buy a great one. You get the calm of an advisor who listens, backed by the data you need to make a smart move.

Beyond the Boardroom
When I’m not navigating the market, I’m embracing the Pacific Northwest lifestyle. I am an avid world traveller, a regular on the courts at the Burnaby Tennis Club, and a lover of good wine and food. I live in Port Moody with my spouse of 32 years and our three children, staying deeply connected to the community I serve.
